We hope you will have a good and healthy year and, of course, with plenty of time to go camping.
The 2024 season we ended with a closing weekend, and again a lovely group of people showed up. With such an amazing amount of joy great things happend, such as: a pink wall with a beautiful door which connects the sanitary with the garden.
We are stunned with the result.

Something we really enjoyed last year were the people who stayed for a week or even longer during the summer. We encourage this and therefore you get a 10% reduction on a stay of 6 nights or more - we offer this during the whole season.

Opening weekend Easter 18-22 April
Starting our 3rd (!) season already, it still feels as if we just started. Amazing things have already happened in the last 2 years and our juice is slowely covering the terrain. Mainly due to the great help we got during our opening- and closing weekend.
Proven to be a very warm and welcoming weekend with great people and energy, we announce our opening weekend 2025 in which we prepare the season together for high season. So far we have been doing it during Easter (18-21 April), this is a tradition we’d like to proceed, even when the campsite opens already on April 1.

It is all about the journey…

To all our new friends, wayfaring strangers, long-lost friends, passengers, keepers,
dearest, dragons, all in between and beyond.
Maybe we saw you over a year ago, maybe you said good-bye this morning.
We are reaching out again to give a glimpse of what the season looked like so far and what will happen in upcoming weeks.
Well, we did not have to water the garden this summer. And while we patiently endured a rainy June, we are still enjoying the sun that arrived in July.
Our Vesdre has been transformed from a wild water stream to a joyful playfield during the hot days. A stretch tent has been built up above the new terras with a lovely team of friends, guests and volunteers.
The constant full and cheerful weeks till now have been a new experience and therefore we decided to close this year by the end of September. We will decide each year on a closing date, so there is definitely the possibility we will stay open later in future years. We aim to do the work with love and energy, and each year we will learn a bit more about how to manage.

Closing weekend
This heartwarming event takes place in the weekend of 27-29 september.
First a short review of the Opening weekend during Easter: We were 75 big people and 25 small people working as if it was 2530 B.C.. A massive pile of debris has been transformed into a beautiful terras, right between the forest and the garden. we proudly present some pictures of the incredible amount of work that has been done here below.
We invite you to join us this weekend. You can stay for free and in return you help according to your means. Unfortunately we don’t have a ton of stones to haul anymore ;) , but we do have a very satisfying big job that will just be a lush for the eyes. Many hands will make light work. Besides this we will prepare the garden and terrain for winter. And of course we celebrate all of this. Again you may expect a lot of kind people, fire, frolicking, dancing and things getting done.

Welcome in the year of the Dragon
February 2024
We hope you are doing fine and the winter has been treating your well. Since February 10 the Chinese celebrate the start the year of the Wood Dragon. The Dragon represents courage, wealth and luck. Well, aren’t we all looking forward to such a year?
What’s new?
2024 will be our first whole year on the camping and this winter we have been mainly looking at computers. Both square-eyed we proudly present a new website design montdragon.be and it is now possible to book your stay for 2024. Most important change we made is a special price this year for Toddlers aged 3-6 years: We definitely need more sandcastles this summer.
We have so much to tell that we made a special Event Page to tell you all about it in a nice overview. But most importantly:
Opening weekend - Easter
March 29 - April 1
During this weekend we welcome you to help us prepare the terrain for the new season.
We will be hauling stones, prune the garden, fix, sweep and decorate. Most importantly it is to have you there as well for the company. You can expect a lot of kind people, a fire, dancing, silent disco, and we will try to order some sun.
What’s the deal?
For 3-4 hours a day you help us out with the preparations. There will be coffee and tea during the day and there will be some bread and fruit for your breakfast, lunch, brunch. You can sign up for dinner (donation based) on forehand during check-in. The bar is open, with special volunteer prices. Anything you’d like to offer during the weekend (performance, jokes, music,…)? Feel free to contact us. Cheers!
You stay for a minimum of 2 nights. You can book your camping spot via the website and you can leave the comment ‘DRAGON’, you will see the normal costs when you send in your request. Only in our final confirmation you will see that you can stay for free (caramba!).

DEAREST & DRAGONS,
We are looking back on a very inspiring, challenging, rainy, sunny and sweet summer. Full of happy and smiling people. Thank you for making this place great, for sharing your knowledge, for the common ground you gave us.
We will definitely do another season, and we would love to see you again.

We learned a lot this year.
We saw the garden for the first time bloom and flower.
We mowed the lawn, we moved trash.
We had storms, a damn lot of rain, bloody hot days.
We had two little boys running around.
Things broke down
Things got fixed
And we enjoyed it a lot.
Most importantly: it is just much more fun to do stuff together.
Therefore we are looking for people who would like to help us out on the campsite in 2024.
We made an impression of the work that needs to be done.
